Utah Swim Academy has assisted thousands of children, teens, and even adults learn to swim. Our course will help you master the skills needed to instruct others how to swim and develop life saving techniques.



INFANTS


You can start infants into survival swimming lessons as soon as 4 months old! We typically like to see little ones when they are starting to sit assisted or unassisted to start this course.

TODDLERS


Toddlers make some incredible little swimmers! We consider our toddler courses to start at the age of 1 to 3 years old. During the course you'll learn primarily on survival skills for the little ones.

TEENS / ADULTS


No matter the age, anyone can master the technic of swim strokes. Our course will go over Freestyle strokes, Backstrokes, Butterflies, Breast Strokes, Flip turns and Racing Dives.


About Your Instructor


Owner of Utah Swim Academy, JoD (pronounced Jody) has been a swim instructor and coach for over 35 years. She has taught over 15,000 children & adults over the course of her career. In addition to being an American Red Cross Lifeguard, JoD is also a certified Water Safety Instruction Trainer.


"I learned that one-on-one lessons with children are the most effective form of instruction and it has become my passion to ensure that all of my kids learn the basics of proper swim safety before moving on to strokes and more advanced swim techniques. My specialties include working with babies, toddlers, and special needs children."


JoD also specializes in adult swimming basics with a unique approach that focuses on relaxation and overcoming mental and physical hurdles in the water.
